i've noticed that this cold season, i've been seeing a lot of red (in all shades). i realized, i don't have a SINGLE red article of clothing in my closet. i think this needs to change...
this next week, I am driving to akron for a wedding which leads me to the question: what do I wear to a fall wedding? with chilly air, my summer dresses simply will not do. the search is on for the perfect fall wedding dress.
although i do not like the styling of this picture (grey tights and white booties? please no), i really love this dress. i have tried it on but my wallet was too thin that week so i did not get it. it's super flattering, not only fit wise, but color wise. this dress is a great way to brighten up a fall wedding while staying warm (notice long sleeves)
a staple in any girl's wardrobe, this dress will not only work for the wedding, but it will also work for work. pair with black tights and patent heels for work, and for play, pair with a bright fuchsia heel.
if you haven't noticed, i'm all about red this fall. so to top it off, another red dress! love the playful and youthful vibe of this wedding. pair with nude heels.
big on my wish list of thing i've alwasy wanted is a leather sheath dress. a go-to in any women's closet, this dress DESPERATELY needs to enter my closet!
finally, here is ohio, the air is starting to get cooler. and that can mean one thing - i am finally able to wear scarves! they are instant update to any outfit without having to do any drastic changes.
i love this scarf. not only is it paris related (and if you know me, i love everything paris) but it is in this stunning, bright blue. this scarf brings a bit of brightness to otherwise cold fall day.
if you have never heard of circle scarves, they are the coolest things since sliced bread! these scarves are full and a bold alternative to a plain scarf.
Wrap the scarf around your neck, being sure that both ends are even. Then, using both ends, tie a bow as you regularly would. Fluff up to bow part to make it not as tight and fussy.
fold your scarf in half. wrap it around your neck so you have the ends of your scarf on one side of your neck and the loop on the other side of your neck. then, thread the ends of your scarf through the loop and fluff the scarf so it isn't tight around your neck. the fuller, the better!
find the center of your scarf. wrap your scarf around your neck backwards (so the ends of the scarf are on your back). then, wrap each end so the lay on your front (the should cross on the back of your neck). fluff the scarf for more volume.
how to tie square scarves easy layover or muffler photo
holding the top ends of the square scarf, fold the scarf in half by taking the top right corner of the scarf and touching it with the bottom left corner of the scarf (so it should be a triangle). grab the ends of the scarf and wrap the scarf around your neck so the top of the triangle is on your chest and the ends are on your back. then wrap the ends around the other side so the intersect and end up on your front. fluff the scarf for more volume.
a week ago, i went to target to try this dress on and i loved it. at the time, i did not have the funds for it so i passed. however, i've been dreaming of it ever since. not only is it chic (and comfortable) for the day, but it can also be easily styled for night. throw on a bright bib necklace (see below) and some strappy metallic heels, and you're ready to party the rest of the night!
ever since i wrote this post, i've been dreaming of traffic. although it has a hefty price tag, i believe it is worth the money. tweed is classic - it will never go out of style. tweed is transitional - you can wear it fall, winter, and spring. this is definitely my number one must have of the season.
ever since i saw bloggers wearing the equivalent zara jacket, i knew i had to have it. by the time zara began selling their clothes online, i could no longer purchase it. i searched on ebay for it, but could never find one that was trustworthy (aka not a fake) and one that was a relatively reasonable price. then, the other week, i received urban outfitters' fall catalog in the mail and i saw this gem. there is also another jacket that is similar, but i like this one more. the motorcycle style makes it a little more edgy (i'm all about mixing the edgy and the soft).
i have these shoes already in grey and I LOVE THEM. they are super comfortable. i bought them on sale last year in taupe and i am really tempted to get another pair. this pink is bright enough to brighten any cold fall day.
as i've stated before, good running shoes is the best starting foundation for a runner. best we must also remember, socks can help too. these socks are designed to wick away moisture, blister protection, hug your arches for extra support, and built in with padding on your heel and toe for extra comfort.
