plaid - although considered a traditionally masculine pattern - can totally be styled for the everyday woman. just pair with fitted pants, tailored jackets, sparkle, lace, or statement jewelry.

for me, i tend to like more masculine plaids; therefore, i tend to venture into the men's department (ladies! it's ok! you may just get some weird looks when you try stuff on).
